I create art meant to be experienced.

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I studied Fine Arts at UCLA on scholarship, but my career took me far beyond the studio and looking back, that experience became one of my greatest strengths as an artist. I spent years in hospitality and large-scale events and sales before building a career in publishing within the design industry. Along the way, I worked with incredible people and brands, created events and experiences, developed partnerships, built communities and learned how to turn an idea into something people genuinely want to be part of. And through all of it, I kept creating. Eventually, the two sides of my life came together. Shannon Paints lives at the intersection of art, people and experience. Today, I create collaborative art, live experiences, murals, workshops and Watercolor On The Go kits for businesses, brands, events, schools, communities and private clients. But what I bring to a project goes beyond the artwork itself. I understand the people in the room, the purpose behind an event, the personality of a brand and the importance of creating something that feels right for the space and the moment. I also believe art should feel welcoming. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to pick up a brush, add your mark to a canvas or sit down and create something of your own. That’s one of my favorite things about what I do, watching people surprise themselves. Sometimes hundreds of people contribute to one collaborative canvas. Sometimes I’m creating live while guests watch. Sometimes it’s a mural that completely changes a space. And sometimes it’s one person opening a little watercolor kit and taking ten minutes to create something just for themselves. Different projects. Same idea. Art has an incredible way of bringing people together. And that’s what Shannon Paints is all about.
